James Sprott
James completed his Bachelor of Applied Science at QUT in Brisbane then returned 2 years later, completing the Graduate Diploma of Surveying Practice Management.
Licensed at 23, James then spent 4 years in London working on various projects including the monitoring of Westminster Station and Big Ben. After spending time in London he moved to Melbourne and after two years of Victorian Cadastral Experience obtained his Victorian Licence.
In 2004, registered Sprott Land Surveys as a company and started surveying on weekends. Focusing full-time on the business in 2006. In 2013 he purchased Chris Runting and Associates and likewise Digital Land Surveys at the end of 2019 and then merged with RV Foote and Associates as of July 2023.
After studying and obtaining his Surveying licence, James has since worked on some of the most significant projects in the UK, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, public train lines and more. James’s passion for surveying led him to return to Australia and establish his own business. He stays at the forefront of surveying tech, always looking for new innovations to enhance the process
